From Selva Gardena to the Sandro Pertini Hut

Starting from Selva di Val Gardena, take the Ciampinoi cable car to reach a higher altitude, where you will start the path n. 21. This route will take you to the Rifugio Comici, a panoramic point that offers spectacular views of the Sassolungo and the surrounding valleys.

From here, follow path no. 526 to the Rifugio Vicenza, where you can stop for a break before continuing along trail no. 527, which leads to the Sasso Piatto Refuge. This is the ideal place for a lunch with mountain views.

The route continues towards the Sandro Pertini Refuge along path n. 557, before arriving at the Sella Pass, an extraordinary panoramic point on the Sella Group. After admiring the landscape, trail no. 526 will lead you to the starting point in Selva di Val Gardena.

This excursion is of medium difficulty and requires adequate physical preparation. With a difference in altitude of 865 meters and a length of 17.6 km, the loop of the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto is perfect for those looking for a challenge that offers unique views.
