Rifugio Torre di Pisa: how to reach it
We leave the car at the free parking area in Tresca, but only if we arrive before 10:00 am: the road from Pampeago is closed between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. Alternatively, it is possible to park in Pampeago.
We start by hiking up the trail to reach the rocky area of Latemar. After a short stretch along trail 514, we turn left into the forest.
Attention: this section of trail is poorly marked, uneven, and has some slightly exposed passages. The alternative is to continue to the junction near the In.Treska restaurant, and from there turn towards Rifugio Passo Feudo (+50 min / +2.9 km / +300m ascent).
Our first stop is the scenic Rifugio Torre di Pisa, named after its distinctive rock spire.
From here, we can enjoy sweeping views of the Catinaccio, Pale di San Martino, and Brenta groups. The climb is now behind us, and we follow the descent route leading to the modern Rifugio Oberholz.
For the final stop, we reach Malga Mayrl, nestled in the pastures. From here, we return to our starting point to complete the loop.

Always remember to plan your route in advance, check the weather conditions, and bring the right equipment. And if you want to keep all the trails at your fingertips, download Mountain Maps — so you can enjoy your hike with peace of mind, even offline.
